The Yangtze River Delta (Rudong) Green Intelligent Computing Industry Development Conference spotlighted the rapid rise of the Yangkou Port as a leader in sustainable digital infrastructure on Aug 31.

Located in Rudong county, Jiangsu province, the port sits along the Yellow Sea coast. The reason why Rudong is the ideal choice for power-computing synergy lies in its remarkable numbers. Rudong boasts nearly 8.3 million kilowatts of installed new energy capacity, including 4.83 GW of offshore wind power.

Complementing this green power advantage is the LNG terminal at Yangkou Port, whose cryogenic energy can be directly channeled to cool data centers. This distinctive combination of green power and cold energy cooling is unmatched across the Yangtze River Delta.

This unmatched resource base has already attracted major investments exceeding 35 billion yuan ($4.93 billion) in Rudong, including landmark projects by VNET Group and China Telecom.

The conference added fresh momentum with the signing of the Yangkou Port Green Integrated Service Project and the launch of a full-DC data center demonstration initiative.

With its unique advantages in green electricity and cold energy, Rudong is accelerating its rise as a new benchmark for zero carbon computing power in the Yangtze River Delta.
