Dragon Boat Festival holiday boosts tourism, culture in Chongchuan

Chongchuan district, Nantong, witnessed a strong boom in its cultural and tourism sector during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, fueled by a diverse array of festive offerings.

The 2026 Yangtze River Delta Haohe River Dragon Boat Invitational took place on the Haohe River on June 20, with both locals and tourists coming to soak up the festive atmosphere. 

A series of activities also drew large crowds. Creative bazaars featured traditional handicrafts, local delicacies, and stage performances, while various major commercial hubs launched exclusive promotions and themed exhibitions to boost consumption, bringing a surge to the dining, retail, and leisure sectors. 

Meanwhile, live viewing areas for Jiangsu Football City League, or Suchao, were set up across the district, allowing visitors to experience the excitement of the matches while promoting the integration of culture, commerce, and tourism.
