Nantong leader meets with CEO of Koksan Group

Wu Xinming, Party secretary of Nantong, Jiangsu province, met with Murat Kokoglu, CEO of Koksan Group, and his delegation on April 8.
Wu welcomed Kokoglu and his team, highlighting Nantong's strategic advantages, including its prime location along the Yangtze River and the Yellow Sea, as well as its proximity to Shanghai. These factors increasingly position Nantong as an attractive investment destination, especially as the integration of the Yangtze River Delta continues to advance.
He emphasized Nantong's commitment to capitalizing on development opportunities, with the aim of becoming a "marine powerhouse". This vision includes accelerating the growth of modern marine industries and establishing the city as a leading zone for high-quality marine industry development in the province.
Wu expressed his hope that Koksan Group would remain confident in its future prospects in Nantong and deepen its practical cooperation in areas such as green technology innovation and the new materials industry. He assured them that Nantong would continue to provide excellent service to ensure high-quality construction and efficient project operations, supporting enterprises in their global competitiveness.
Murat Kokoglu expressed his gratitude to the Nantong authorities for their support and assistance. He noted that, thanks to Nantong's efficient services, the group's green polyester new materials project has made significant progress, strengthening the group's confidence and resolve to further establish its presence in Nantong.
Koksan Group plans to leverage its strengths to bring more new technologies and high-quality resources to Nantong. Additionally, it aims to act as a bridge to facilitate economic and trade exchanges and foster sister-city relations between Nantong and key regions in Turkiye.
The Koksan project is located in the Rudong Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone. Construction of phase one began in February 2025, with 95 percent of the civil engineering work completed and equipment installation underway. Trial production is scheduled to begin in June this year.
