Tongzhou district in Nantong, Jiangsu province, has been actively rolling out policies to attract and support top-tier talent, catalyzing high-quality development among local enterprises.

One of the most notable initiatives is the "510 Talent Plan". Tongzhou has been implementing the plan since 2012 to attract leading talent and teams with innovative capabilities, projects, technologies, and funding for innovation and entrepreneurship in the district.

In November, Tongzhou organized a professional evaluation of the projects included in the plan. Through a process of independent application and qualification reviews, 49 talent projects entered the expert evaluation phase, spanning industries such as new-generation information technology, intelligent manufacturing, new energy, and new materials.

Talent projects succeeding in going public under this plan will receive 7.5 million yuan ($1.05 million) in support from Tongzhou.

Additionally, the district is aligned with industry demands. This year, Tongzhou has conducted activities in eight key cities, including Xi'an, Shenyang, Shanghai, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Shenzhen, and Suzhou, attracting much-needed talent for key industrial chains in the district.

So far, the district has funded a total of 347 talent projects, with a cumulative investment of nearly 400 million yuan. Twenty-six talent enterprises in the district have grown into high-tech enterprises, five have become "little giant" enterprises, and four are pursuing initial public offerings.
