The inbound and outbound passenger flow at Nantong Xingdong International Airport in Jiangsu had exceeded 62,200 as of Aug 3, surpassing the total for the entire year of 2023.

The substantial rise can be attributed to the ongoing optimization and adjustment of entry and exit policies, along with the vigorous promotion of summer tourism.

In July alone, more than 8,800 Chinese citizens left the country from the Nantong airport, up 27.88 percent compared to the previous month.

In response to the escalating volume of incoming and outgoing passengers, the Nantong immigration inspection station is intensifying its guidance for peak period traffic diversion, dynamically adjusting channel configurations, and continually refining the allocation of duty officers to ensure expeditious and secure clearance processes.

"Now, with the round-trip route between Nantong and Cambodia, our travel has become more convenient," said a passenger from Anhui province surnamed Chen.

Since the launch of the Nantong – Cambodia route nearly two months ago, the Nantong airport has seen over 3,500 inbound and outbound passengers traveling along the route, including more than 500 international tourists visiting Nantong, which has emerged as the first stop for some foreign tourists traveling to China.

"We really like Nantong, and the scenery here is beautiful!" said a Cambodian tourist, Chhay.

Tips: Pay close attention to the customs clearance status, allocate sufficient time for clearance, and complete visa endorsements timely.
