Disney fun house set up at Nantong hospital
The inauguration ceremony for a Disney Fun House at the Nantong Maternal and Child Health Hospital took place on Feb 29.
The fun house is the first of its kind in Nantong, Jiangsu province. The move is part of ongoing efforts to expedite the development of child-friendly hospitals in the city.
The fun house is adorned with delightful decorations, featuring cartoon characters like Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse on the walls. Inside, Disney toys and books are displayed to create a cheerful atmosphere.
"In the future, we plan to utilize the Disney Fun House to organize various games and interactive activities, further easing children's anxiety about medical visits and fostering a more comforting treatment environment," said Wang Yilang, the director of the hospital.
On the day of the inauguration, Disney Resort volunteers hosted a family storytelling session, vividly narrating the story of "Zootopia" to 15 children.
To date, Walt Disney China and Shanghai Disney Resort have collectively established 43 Disney Fun Houses across the country, bringing warmth and joy to many hospitalized children and their families.
