A number of enterprises in Gangzha district, Nantong, Jiangsu province, have recently resumed work and adopted several effective measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic.
Wande Technology Co, a Gangzha-based company, employs over 1,500 workers and about 300 are currently on duty.
Workers have to register and have their temperatures taken before entering the company's premises. Face masks are given to all the workers and public areas are carefully disinfected. Workers are advised to keep 1.5 meters from each other and to eat one person per table.
Although production demand is urgent, the company manager said that it will give priority to epidemic prevention and control. The workshops are all opened to keep workers separate from each other instead of sitting face-to-face in one workshop.
Jiangsu Hanrun Automotive Electronics Co started production Jan 31 to meet the needs of isolation ambulances in the epidemic areas. The company has been officially approved to resume work and employees are returning in batches.
All workers must sign letters of commitment, have their temperatures taken and receive safety training.
