The 140th China Import and Export Fair, known as the Canton Fair, is scheduled to run from Oct 15 to Nov 4 in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, with a strong contingent from Nantong, Jiangsu province, ready to engage global buyers across all three phases.
The Nantong delegation is expected to feature 475 companies occupying 744 booths. For phase one, which opens on Oct 15, 138 Nantong firms will occupy 212 booths.
A notable shift this year is the increased presence of specialized and innovative enterprises. The number of such high-quality exhibitors from Nantong has risen to 134 from 102 at the previous session.
These companies, spanning power tools, general machinery, home textiles and furnishings, as well as precision components, will present upgraded technologies, processes, and products to international buyers throughout three phases, emphasizing the competitive strength of Nantong's distinctive industrial clusters.
Beyond booth exhibitions, the Nantong delegation is extending its trade networking efforts to maximize the fair's spillover benefits.
On Oct 17, a dedicated procurement matchmaking event featuring the electromechanical industry is set to be held at Hall B of the Canton Fair Complex. The event will bring together 37 invited international buyers for one-on-one talks with representatives from 48 Nantong electromechanical exhibitors.
The session will also include presentations on Nantong's city profile and electromechanical industry, along with an analysis of emerging markets, aiming to align supply with demand and help companies secure orders and expand their market reach.
