China claimed the men's artistic gymnastics team gold at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Sept 23, with Nantong native Sun Wei competing in multiple events in the final to help secure a third straight Asian Games title in the event.

The victory gave Nantong its third gold medal at the Games.

China's lineup featured Zhang Boheng, Zou Jingyuan, Lan Xingyu, Sun Wei and Tian Hao.

Sun, from the Nantong Children's Amateur Sports School, is Nantong's 20th world champion. He was also part of China's gold-medal-winning men's gymnastics team at the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games.

Nantong gymnastics great Lu Bin was on the sidelines as a coach. Lan Xingyu, a still rings world champion on the team, is one of his trainees.
