As temperatures soar across East China, an indoor attraction in Nantong is offering visitors a way to escape the summer heat without leaving the city.

Nantong Sendi Snow and Ocean Park, located within the Nantong Forest Safari Park, opened its doors this summer as a fully indoor, climate-controlled destination. The facility combines a sub-zero snow zone with a tropical marine exhibit, allowing guests to experience winter and underwater worlds in a single visit.

The snow section maintains a temperature of -10 degrees Celsius and features a 2,000-square-meter skating rink, ice slides, sledding runs, and a snow village where visitors can build snowmen and engage in snowball fights.

One of the park's main draws is its penguin enclosure, home to Gentoo penguins that can be observed waddling and swimming. Scheduled penguin parades offer close-up photo opportunities.

Adjacent to the snow zone, the marine area features an underwater tunnel where visitors can observe stingrays and tropical fish swimming overhead. A jellyfish exhibit with changing LED lighting provides additional photo opportunities.

Beyond the snow and marine zones, the park's climate-controlled indoor space includes family-friendly attractions such as a carousel, Ferris wheel, bumper cars, a pirate ship, and virtual reality attractions.

Key performances include the sea lion show, mermaid performance, aurora snow show, and a feeding demonstration, all held at designated locations within the park. Visitors to the snow area are advised to bring their own gloves and warm pants for added comfort.
