Gu Xiaofei, a Paralympic athlete from Nantong, Jiangsu, claimed gold in the men's 80kg category at the 2026 National Para Powerlifting Championships on July 19, with a lift of 210kg.

The 37-year-old, who hails from Tongzhou district, is a member of both the national and Jiangsu provincial Paralympic powerlifting teams. Over the course of his career, he has won gold at the National Paralympic Games, claimed four Asian Paralympic Games titles, captured world championship and World Cup titles, and reached the Paralympic podium four times, taking silver on each occasion.

Over more than a decade of relentless effort, Gu has accumulated 47 gold medals and over 10 silver medals in international and national competitions, while repeatedly breaking world records. His enduring dedication embodies the unwavering spirit of Paralympic sportsmanship.
