To help international students better experience Nantong's culture, an international youth study tour project was launched on June 24 at the Haoxi Book Garden in Chongchuan district, Nantong.

The project draws on the rich cultural resources of the Haohe River area and the international educational strengths of Jiangsu Vocational College of Business, aiming to establish a regular study tour base.

Following the launch ceremony, the first event, a tour of the Haohe River museum cluster, commenced. Thirty-three international students visited the Chinese Abacus Museum to view over 10,000 exhibits and experience traditional rubbing techniques.

They then proceeded to the Nantong Kite Museum to admire more than 400 exquisite banyao whistling kites and learn about the history of this national intangible cultural heritage item, deeply experiencing the charm of local culture on their journey.

Zeng Youhua, an international student from Indonesia, said, "The water of the Haohe River is very beautiful, the old alleys of Sijie Street are quiet, and the teachers and classmates are kind and friendly. Nantong has already become my second home."

He said the study tour base provides him with a valuable opportunity to gain deeper insights into the city. He plans to actively participate in the base's activities and share his experiences in Nantong with family, friends, and fellow Indonesians through social media, allowing more people to discover the beauty of Nantong.
