From January to May, the zone signed agreements for 11 industrial projects in the areas of new energy equipment, new materials, and intelligent manufacturing. Both fixed asset investment and industrial investment experienced rapid growth, exceeding 27 percent. The total import and export volume reached 7.89 billion yuan ($1.16 billion), reflecting a 20.2 percent increase.
The Yangke new materials project and the core functional components project for computer numerical control machine tools have been signed in sequence. The former will promote the development of the high-end functional film materials in the zone, while the latter will revitalize a 5,000-square-meter idle factory building.
Meanwhile, the Weirui New Energy wind power equipment project and the third phase of the Aeolon Wind Power project have both commenced construction, contributing to the establishment of the world's largest wind turbine blade production base. The ongoing Zhenjiang Wind Power and Lima Textiles projects are also advancing at full speed.
