The Jiangsu leg of the "21st Century Cup" Global Youth Cultural Exchange Conference took place in Nantong, Jiangsu province, on May 16, bringing together over 400 primary and secondary school students to share Chinese stories in English.

During the conference, Yang Ling from Nanjing Normal University delivered a lecture on public speaking. Following that, in the speech presentation segment, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on various topics from diverse perspectives.

The event featured a distinguished panel of judges, including top educators from primary and secondary schools, university experts, and international judges. They offered valuable feedback and professional guidance to participants, focusing on language expression, logical thinking, and cultural content.

The "21st Century Cup" Global Youth Cultural Exchange Conference is a national platform guided by China Daily, co-organized by the newspaper office of 21st Century and the International Center for UNESCO Associated Schools Network. It aims to promote nationwide reading and empower young people to "tell China's stories in English".

This Nantong event is one of only two provincial-level offline events of its kind in Jiangsu. Outstanding participants will have the chance to be invited to the Global Youth Cultural Exchange Conference this August, where they will serve as cultural ambassadors to convey China's voice to the world.
