A total of 266 enterprises from Nantong, Jiangsu province, showcased their latest products during the third phase of the 139th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair.
The 139th edition was held in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, from April 15 to May 5, with the third phase — focused on on toys, maternity and childcare products, home textiles, stationery, as well as health and leisure goods — taking place from May 1 to May 5.
These Nantong participants made a significant impact with 431 booths, featuring advancements driven by artificial intelligence.
Litai Jianlong Food, an enterprise specializing in jelly and candy, with exports to over 50 countries and regions, has been at the forefront of digital transformation since 2023. By 2024, the company had fully integrated AI into its research and development, marketing, services and supply chain management processes. This strategic move enabled it to accurately identify overseas demand and optimize its supply chain, significantly enhancing its competitiveness in international markets.
In the toy exhibition area, Nantong Jinrong Manufacture utilized AI technology to develop innovative toys featuring smart sensing and voice interaction capabilities. This attracted over 20 groups of international buyers, resulting in preliminary cooperation agreements worth nearly $1 million.
Throughout this edition of the Canton Fair, 467 companies from Nantong reported stable transactions. High-value-added and functional products demonstrated strong pricing power, underscoring the effective use of AI in meeting market demand and driving growth.
