Nantong records 1.28t yuan GDP in 2025

Nantong in Jiangsu province reached a regional GDP of over 1.28 trillion yuan ($184.50 billion) in 2025, marking a 5.3 percent growth compared to the previous year at constant prices, as reported by the local statistics authority.
Breaking it down by industry, the primary sector contributed 54.03 billion yuan in added value, a 3.3 percent increase; the secondary sector reached 590.26 billion yuan, up 4.5 percent; and the tertiary sector achieved 635.85 billion yuan, a 6.2 percent increase.
The city's foreign trade reached new heights, with total import and export volumes hitting 440.73 billion yuan, marking a 12.3 percent increase over the previous year.
Residents of Nantong saw a steady increase in income, with per capita disposable income rising to 57,242 yuan, up 4.8 percent from the previous year. The income gap between urban and rural residents narrowed slightly, with the ratio falling from 1.86 last year to 1.85.
