Eleven hydrogen energy entrepreneurs from European countries such as Germany, France, and Switzerland conducted on-site inspections of the Guohua integrated photovoltaic, hydrogen production, energy storage project in Rudong, Jiangsu province, on March 28.
They recognized the region's strong potential for the development of the hydrogen energy industry.
The project is the largest intertidal photovoltaic demonstration project in China, as well as the first comprehensive project in China to integrate photovoltaics, hydrogen production, energy storage, and coastal ecological governance.
Construction on the energy storage station and the hydrogen production station supporting the project is progressing smoothly. After full completion, the energy storage station is expected to provide 120,000 kilowatt hours of peak shaving electricity during peak hours every day, while the hydrogen production station will produce up to 180 metric tons of green hydrogen annually.
In addition, Germany's Hyfindr signed a cooperation agreement with the Rudong Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone on-site. The partnership will focus on the digital empowerment of the hydrogen energy industry, international cooperation in zero carbon parks, technology transfer, and industrial commercialization.
Hyfindr will cooperate with the zone over the next five years to develop a global digital matchmaking platform for the hydrogen energy industry, as well as introduce international advanced hydrogen energy technology and high-quality suppliers to help develop the zone's hydrogen energy industry chain.
