The Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone in Rudong county, Jiangsu province, is growing into a modern port area where talents are willing to settle and work hard, demonstrating the livable and business friendly coexistence between the port and the city.

The zone has a convenient and smooth transportation network, with the G328 National Highway passing through the area, as well as the S355 Provincial Highway, Gangcheng Avenue and other expressways crisscrossing and interconnecting.

The zone continues to promote the upgrading of port infrastructure and accelerate the construction of key plans such as the follow-up projects of Jinniu Port Area, in a bid to further enhance the port's navigation and freight capacity.

The zone has adhered to the development concept of putting people first and carrying out a series of livelihood projects to improve their sense of happiness.

In the past, the zone had limited commercial facilities in the old town area. Nowadays, with the construction of ports and industrial agglomeration, over 20,000 migrant workers have taken root here, making the atmosphere of the area even more vibrant.

Measures have also been adopted by the zone to gather high-end talent through the layout of high-end industries. For instance, the polar science facility project at Southeast University is now under planning, where polar environment simulation experiments can be conducted without the need for researchers to travel and brave Arctic conditions.
