NHIZ makes strides in new-generation information technology industry
The Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone has made strides in the development of the new-generation information technology industry, with nearly 100 enterprises specializing in the industrial chain setting up operations in the zone.
The increasing number of such enterprises in the zone was made possible by the zone's efforts to attract related projects.
In June, a signing ceremony for 23 projects to be built in the zone was held in Tongzhou district, with nine of them related to new-generation information technology.
The zone recently also attracted a project funded by a company affiliated with the 18th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation. The company focuses on products related to vacuum heat treatment, vacuum environment chambers, space environment simulation, special high-voltage power supplies and has already obtained orders for security inspection equipment for Nantong Metro Line 1 and Line 2.
According to Zhang Jifeng, the general manager of the company, the project will serve as a manufacturing base for core components of electric vacuum and intelligent detection equipment, with a total investment of 500 million yuan (68.91 million).
The national integrated circuit components industrial park in the zone also contributes to the rapid development of new-generation information technology in the zone.
The park, spanning 12 square meters, was established by the Ministry of Science and Technology and China Integrated Circuit Innovation Alliance. Due to its strong reputation, the park has attracted several leading enterprises in the new-generation information industry.
