Tongzhou Construction General Contracting Group Co Ltd was honored for its high tax payments in 2022 at the Conference of Key Enterprises Contributing to Economic Development and Sci-tech Innovation, which was held in the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone in East China's Jiangsu province on Jan 30.

In 2022, the company paid 538 million yuan ($80.14 million) in taxes, ranking first in the zone, according to the conference.

Zhang Hongjun, chairman of the company said at the conference that the company has been the zone's top taxpayer for the past four years.

Located in the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, the company was developed by the Bricklaying & Woodworking Association, the first construction industry organization in Nantong.

To further develop in the building industry, the company has advanced its cooperation with State-owned enterprises and boosted infrastructure construction in surrounding cities in recent years.

For example, the company was one of the contractors to build related supported facilities for the Suzhou metro and the only private enterprise to fully participate in the building of the Nantong metro.

In 2020, the company participated in the construction of Tashikuergan Hongqilafu Airport and was praised by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).

The company has also deepened its cooperation with some national real estate giants, such as China Vanke Co Ltd and Greentown Real Estate Group Co Ltd. The value of its annual cooperative projects is more than 10 billion yuan.

In addition to the domestic market, the company operates in the US, Russia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and Djibouti.
