After more than nine months of preparations and construction, the China (Nantong) Intellectual Property Protection Center passed the pre-assessment and acceptance conducted by the expert group of the Intellectual Property Office of Jiangsu province on Dec 1.
Located in Jianghai Smart Park of Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, the China (Nantong) Intellectual Property Protection Center is one of the first State-level intellectual property (IP) protection centers in central and northern Jiangsu province approved by the China National Intellectual Property Administration.
Integrating the four major functions of rapid patent authorization, rapid rights confirmation, rapid rights protection and navigation operation services, the center further improves Nantong's focus on strict and rapid protection of IP rights.
The rapid pre-examination service of patent applications provided by the center will help companies solve a series of problems, and focuses on improving the quality and examination efficiency of patent applications. It shortens the average authorization cycle by more than 80 percent.
On Dec 1, the assessment team visited the acceptance hall, the multimedia trial court, multimedia classrooms, mediation rooms, collegiate rooms and office areas, and learned in detail about the center's staffing, institutional settings, funding input, information and management system construction.
Passing the pre-acceptance of the provincial IP office lays a foundation for the Nantong IP protection center's receiving official acceptance from the State bureau. In the following period, the protection center will strengthen construction of basic conditions and internal management and business systems, and focus on modern textile and intelligent equipment industry services. It will also build a "one-stop" IP protection service platform covering Nantong's cities, counties and parks and strive to become a national model contributing to the high-quality development of the local economy and business environment.
