The introduction of new projects has been a significant driver of industrial development in Chongchuan district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province. 

This year, Chongchuan introduced 152 new scientific and innovative projects and 61 new talent projects.

Located in the Chongchuan Economic Development Zone, the Eastern Intelligence Valley project is currently under construction. The 12-billion-yuan ($127.03 million) project involves the building of a 1,000-mu (66.67 hectares) industrial park that has the intelligent manufacturing industry as its core. 

In the Gangzha Economic Development Zone in Chongchuan, the construction of a group of key projects is also underway. 

One of the projects is Nantong Hairun Smart Technology Co Ltd, which is expected to have a taxable turnover of 400 million yuan and pay about 20 million yuan in taxes after it achieves its target output. 

Cultural and tourism projects have also been established in Chongchuan to boost the service industry. 

Located in the Shibei High-tech Park, the Sendi Cultural Tourism Group project involves building an indoor ice and snow theme park and the first African theme park in northeastern China. 

Wang Fei, an assistant to the chairman of Sendi Cultural Tourism Group, said that two theme parks will receive five million tourists annually and boost the tourism industry in Chongchuan. 

Due to the influx of new projects, the GDP of Chongchuan in the first three quarters of 2022 was 127.76 billion yuan, an increase of 2.3 percent year-on-year.
