An activity promoting Chongchuan’s modern service industry and investment environment was held in Hangzhou, East China’s Zhejiang province on Dec 20. 

The event witnessed the signing of 30 projects. 

During the event, experts from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and other think tanks and institutes shared their views on the development of the modern service industry. Representatives from local enterprises in Chongchuan also discussed the industry’s development in the district. 

Chongchuan district in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province has been making efforts to upgrade traditional industrial structures. The district currently has a modern industrial system driven by the advanced manufacturing industry and the modern service industry. 

In the first three quarters of this year, the taxable turnover of the service industry in Chongchuan exceeded 300 billion yuan ($43.05 billion), an increase of 8.2 percent year-on-year.

The added value of the service sector in Chongchuan currently accounts for 67.6 percent of the district’s GDP. 

Chongchuan authorities have also been focusing on establishing a business-friendly environment.

The district currently has several hotlines that provide 24-hour services for enterprises. In addition, a one-stop service for key projects in Chongchuan has also been put into operation to improve the efficiency of project construction.
