CCEDZ cooperates with global consulting giant

The Chongchuan Economic Development Zone (CCEDZ), located in Chongchuan district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with global consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, or PwC, on July 22.

PwC will set up a branch office in the city of Nantong to become the first of the world's four largest accounting firms to establish a branch in the city.

Yan Jingxiang, secretary of the Party working committee of the CCEDZ, delivered a keynote speech in which he stated that the signing of the agreement marked a new stage of bilateral cooperation between the CCEDZ and PwC.

Yan expressed hope that PwC would provide better services for local customers in accordance with their development features, and more scientific and systematic investment inviting plans for Chongchuan district through PwC's abundant resources and professional consulting capabilities.

Chongchuan will provide comprehensive supporting facilities, preferential policies, and efficient services for PwC, Yan added.

Qin Jie, a representative of PwC China, explained PwC's layout in China and Nantong. The consulting giant is confident in the city's development potential and will promote cooperation with the governments of Nantong and Chongchuan and local enterprises in a wider range of fields to contribute to the city's upgrading.

With branch offices and agencies set up in 158 countries and over 280,000 professionals, PwC is one of the world's largest professional service providers involved in management audits, tax administration, mergers and acquisitions, and management consulting. It serves more than 400 Global 500 companies.
