CCEDZ alleviates poverty in two Foping towns through consumption

In a bid to strengthen the results of poverty alleviation through increased consumption, two delegations from Foping county in Hanzhong, Shaanxi province, visited Chongchuan Economic Development Zone (CCEDZ) on Oct 21 and 22, to discuss cooperation.
A signing ceremony for consumption poverty alleviation efforts between Yueba town in Foping and CCEDZ was held on Oct 21. At the ceremony, the two sides gave brief introductions on their recent economic and social development.
The Yueba town delegation explained the characteristics and advantages of local agricultural products through on-site displays. The two sides exchanged views on various agricultural and sideline products. Communities and villages that collaborate with each other signed the framework agreement on poverty alleviation through consumption.
On Oct 22, officials hosted the Chenjiaba town-CCEDZ agricultural product promotion meeting and a signing ceremony for consumption poverty alleviation.
Since the CCEDZ started poverty alleviation cooperation with four townships in Foping and Liuba counties, it has gradually upgraded the assistance method from initial funding and material donations to consumption poverty alleviation and project assistance, and has helped all four townships move out of poverty.
