Some residents of Guosheng community in the Chongchuan Economic Development Zone visited the local police station to attend an activity celebrating the forthcoming Mid-Autumn Festival and have a close look at the high-tech intelligent police station on Sept 19.

Guosheng community police station is the first police-network integrated intelligent station in the Chongchuan Economic Development Zone. According to Shao Changsheng, a grid policeman of the community, Guosheng community is divided into seven grids and has a permanent resident population of about 16,000 and a migrant population of over 6,000, making it difficult for the police station to implement population management.

"In the past, the community police and cadres had to visit house after house, making it difficult to implement population management," Shao explained. Now that police affairs are included in the full-element grid service management system, the information of each household is entered into the smart police station in that system, which makes population management easier.

The full-element grid integrates the community, public security, urban management, grid personnel, property, security and other factors. When a grid staff member discovers a situation and inputs it in the system, the system automatically distinguishes and assigns specific affairs to the relevant departments, which obtains information and takes the necessary steps as soon as possible; a much faster procedure.

"The station is full of high technologies," a resident surnamed Ge said with excitement. "It is safe enough to live in such a community."
