Chongchuan district, Nantong, signed a memorandum of understanding with the city of Volterra, Italy, on April 26, marking a new phase of mutual friendly cooperation.

Giacomo Santi, mayor of Volterra, said, "Volterra, much like Chongchuan district, has a profound cultural heritage. During this visit, I have truly felt Chongchuan's vibrant development vitality and its open, inclusive urban character. I am full of anticipation for the future cooperation between our two regions." 

He expressed that Volterra greatly values its friendly relationship with Chongchuan and hopes to strengthen cooperation and interaction in areas such as cultural heritage preservation, educational exchange and cultural tourism integration. This will allow the people of both regions to benefit from the opportunities created by these friendly exchanges and together write a new chapter in their partnership. 

During their visit to Chongchuan, the delegation from Volterra also visited the Nantong Museum and the Fumei Hat Museum for sightseeing and educational purposes.
