Jiangsu province made significant contributions to national development last year and Zan Shengda, a deputy to the National People's Congress and chairman of Jiangsu Zongyi Group, was a witness in this process.

Founded in 1987 in Nantong, a city in Jiangsu, Zongyi Group, under the leadership of Zan, has continuously expanded and innovated with a global strategic vision. The company has leveraged high technology to achieve forward-thinking transformations and upgrades across its industries.

This year's government work report outlines both the development agenda for the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30) and this year's objectives, including key indicators such as economic growth, urban employment, and residents' income.

While Zan is greatly encouraged by these plans, he also acknowledges that traditional manufacturing private enterprises currently face significant transformation challenges. Many are unwilling, afraid, or unable to change, with weak expectations for private investment and a need for greater vitality.

Based on practical research, Zan has made several suggestions. Leading enterprises should be encouraged to collaborate with vocational colleges to establish industrial colleges, while authorities should support enterprises in forming innovation consortia to develop digital solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises. Additionally, there should be tax reductions, credit interest subsidies, and other support measures to facilitate digital transformation.

Furthermore, authorities should work to further stimulate private investment vitality, strengthen financial support, and assist private enterprises in building industry-wide pilot platforms to help reduce costs and increase efficiency in digital upgrades.

Zan emphasized his commitment to accelerating the integrated development of technological and industrial innovation, contributing greater efforts to promote high-quality development, enhance people's well-being, and cultivate new quality productive forces for development.
