Over the course of 10 days, more than 60 overseas Chinese youth from nine Chinese schools in eight countries — the United States, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, Ireland, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Pakistan — journeyed from Wuxi to Nantong, as they explored Chinese culture.

In Nantong, they learned about a variety of ganoderma specimens at Ganoderma Culture Museum of China, appreciated the ethereal sunset that set the five-mountain forest park ablaze with a golden hue, gazed upon vast sky at Qidong's golden beach, and explored the exotic flora and fauna in Zhouji Green Expo Park.

The young overseas Chinese were also captivated by the operatic splendor at Nantong Linggong School, admired the elegant blue calico dyeing art at the Huayi Nantong Tie-dye Museum, and witnessed the deft printmaking skills at the Qidong Printmaking Museum.

Aimed to enhance the proficiency of overseas Chinese youth in the Chinese language,  the "China in Children's Voice" Overseas Promotion and Communication Event was launched in April this year and held a songwriting competition.

At the closing ceremony, Zhang Enyu, the songwriting contest's first-prize winner from Slovakia's LinD Academy, shared his creative insights. "Chinese characters captivated me — some resemble pictures, others puzzles, with many holding layered meanings. This contest has deepened my passion for Chinese."

Carrying these precious memories and the friendships forged during the camp, young participants returned home, hoping to become cultural ambassadors, guardians, and practitioners of Chinese culture, composing a new chapter in cross-border cultural exchanges.
