A host of diverse events are about to take place in Tongzhou district, Nantong, from Aug 15 to 21, offering residents and visitors a cultural and culinary feast.

Opening on Aug 16, Tongzhou's cultural expo center will host an exhibition gathering 66 works of art by 12 well-known painters from Hebei province, Beijing, and Jiangsu province's Nantong.

The West Lake Road at the Tongzhou Sports Center will transform into a paradise for foodies from Aug 15 to 19, as a lobster food festival kicks off. Over 100 catering businesses have gathered in the area, offering diners a wide variety of mouth-watering lobster dishes to enjoy as they watch the thrilling Jiangsu Football City League matches.

At Wanda Plaza, a series of captivating performances will take place from Aug 16 to 21. There will be a cross-talk show, bringing laughter and joy with witty dialogues and humorous skits. A singing competition will also be held, where talented singers will showcase their vocal prowess.

Additionally, a cultural performance will be held to celebrate the eighth "Chinese Doctors' Day", paying tribute to the selfless dedication of medical workers. Another cultural display will be staged to promote patriotism. Moreover, grassroots square dancing will add a lively and energetic touch to the event.
