A promotional event for Nantong's digital cultural industry was held in Shanghai on Oct 16.

During the event, Nantong showcased its development environment for the digital cultural industry and launched a strategic empowerment partnership between Nantong's digital cultural industry and Zhongguancun's innovation ecosystem services.

Additionally, agreements on 36 digital cultural projects were signed during the event. Chongchuan district, the main urban area of Nantong, also signed an agreement for a special fund dedicated to digital culture.

Chongchuan has been developing the digital cultural industry in accordance with its three-year action plan. It has accelerated the development of key industries such as live-streaming e-commerce, e-sports, animation and gaming, digital equipment, and digital film and television.

Currently, Chongchuan is home to over 200 large-scale digital cultural enterprises. In 2023, the added value of the cultural industry reached 62.1 billion yuan ($8.74 billion), accounting for 5.26 percent of the total, making it a vital pillar of Nantong's economy.
