Nantong celebrates Spring Festival with art exhibition featuring dragon-themed masterpieces
The 2024 Nantong Spring Festival Art Exhibition opened at the Nantong Cultural Center on Feb 5 to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year.
This exhibition features 51 masterpieces created by 51 artists from the Nantong Artists Association. The focal point of the artworks is the dragon theme, presented through traditional Chinese paintings, including pieces in oil painting and watercolor.
The displayed artworks not only reflect the unique aesthetic perspectives and deep artistic achievements of the painters but also contribute to the auspicious atmosphere of the upcoming Year of the Dragon.
All of the participating artists of the exhibition are well-established and accomplished painters in Nantong, known for their dedication to both preserving the essence of traditional Chinese art and exploring innovative approaches.
Organized by the Nantong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the exhibition is part of a series of cultural events aiming to bring joy to the community during the Spring Festival.
Adding to the exhibition, during the Chinese New Year and Lantern Festival period, the city's cultural institutions will host various art-related activities, providing residents with opportunities to appreciate more artworks and engage in cultural festivities.
