Danish delegation explores partnership with Hai'an hospital
The Hai'an Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Nantong, Jiangsu province, welcomed a delegation led by Thomas Larsen, the director of Lillebaelt Hospital in Denmark, for a visit and exchange on Dec 5.
The visit, commissioned by the Danish Health Authority, aimed to assess potential collaboration with the hospital as part of preliminary work for declaring a Sino-Danish cooperation pilot project under the Danish Ministry of Health.
During their visit, the delegation explored the Chinese Medicine Museum and Wellness Experience Center, gaining insights into the hospital's development and the history of TCM. They exhibited a keen interest in the origins of TCM and the use of Chinese herbal medicine.
The delegation also toured various departments, including oncology, acupuncture, preventative medicine center, and TCM nursing specialty clinic. This provided them with an understanding of the hospital's distinctive TCM techniques, TCM wellness culture, and the application of TCM in cancer treatment.
A representative from Hai'an TCM Hospital said, "We will leverage this exchange to further explore practical collaborations with international hospitals and showcase the brilliance of TCM to the world."
