A series of cultural activities in celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on June 22 this year, was held in the Tianxia residential community in Tongzhou district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on June 20.
Participants of the activities experienced the festival's customs, such as making zongzi, a traditional Chinese sticky rice dumpling wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves, and playing touhu, an ancient game of throwing arrows into a pitcher.
In addition, children learned about the festival's cultural background.
