Green Valley City, known as the "lungs of the city", was a private garden owned by Chen Baochu, a businessman who lived during the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

More than 2,000 trees of over 150 different varieties grow throughout the scenic spot, around 20 of which are over 100 years old. Four adults are required to fully encircle the spot's 110-year-old camphor tree.

Jianghuai Culture Park showcases the history, culture, folk customs, and renowned figures of Hai'an. The park is also a botanical garden with numerous plantations, including an ancient camphor tree, Chinese yews, and other native trees.
