Guangming village in Libao town in Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province recently made the list of the 2022 national villages that have a characteristic industry worth more than 100 million yuan ($14.19 million).

The village has made the list for three consecutive years from 2020 to 2022 because of its vegetable industry, official statistics show.

Guangming village is a provincial key village for vegetable production and a green food production base in Jiangsu.

The village is now home to 6,000-mu (400 hectares) of farmlands used for vegetable cultivation.

To date, the village has established 12 specialized vegetable wholesale markets and two 2,000-metric-ton cold storage facilities for vegetables.

The two vegetable cooperatives in the village presently have more than 300 members.

In addition, the village has been rated as a provincial demonstration area for modern agriculture.
