Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has been making strides in the integration of the culture and tourism sectors.

A number of projects featuring a combination of culture and tourism have been set up in the city in recent years.

For example, exhibition halls established by companies to showcase silk, clothing, and furniture production techniques have emerged as hit tourism destinations.

The artistic creations of enterprises in Hai'an have also injected vitality into the local tourism sector. The 523 Cultural Industrial Park, for example, has become a complex integrating art design, education and tourism.

In addition, the establishment of museums themed on Chinese revolutionary culture has resulted in new attractions for tourists.

Hai'an has also been pooling efforts to revitalize local intangible cultural heritage. Hai'an currently boasts more than 100 intangible cultural heritage projects, including seven at the provincial level.
