Outstanding paintings and calligraphy works by artists in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, have recently been showcased at the Rugao Cultural Center in Rugao, a county-level city in Nantong.

The exhibition showcases 50 works portraying the city's rapid development and its favorable natural and living environment.

The itinerant exhibition is sponsored by the Nantong municipal bureau of culture, broadcasting, television, and tourism and organized by the Nantong Culture Center and bureaus of culture, broadcasting, television, and tourism in local districts and counties.

The exhibition has been held at the culture centers in Nantong, Haimen, Qidong, Chongchuan and Rudong and will be later held in Tongzhou and Hai'an.
