The fifth Nantong Fine Art Works Exhibition kicked off at Nantong Central Art Museum in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Oct 18.

Two hundred and fifty fine art works, including traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings, woodblock paintings, and comic strips, were on display at the exhibition.

These exhibits were selected from the entries submitted by local artists of all ages and 22 of the exhibits were created by 19 guest artists.

The exhibition was sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Nantong Municipal Committee, Nantong municipal bureau of culture, broadcasting, television, and tourism, and Nantong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and organized by Nantong Artists Association and Nantong Calligraphy and Chinese Painting Institute.

Since its inception in 2014, the biennial exhibition has launched groups of excellent works and discovered outstanding talents in fine arts, playing an active role in promoting the development of fine arts in Nantong.
