The construction of a cold chain logistic center of Liubu fishing port is underway in Rudong, Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province, local media reported.

The center covers an area of 20 mu (1.33 hectares), consisting of a single-story factory for making ice, a three-story building equipped with supporting facilities and four single-story factories for crushing ice.

The center will be able to produce 300 tons of ice per day and the daily storage capacity of agricultural and fishery products will reach 5,000 metric tons. It will increase the competitiveness of agricultural and fishery products in the county.

The program started in July and is expected to be put into operation in August 2023.
