The main urban area of Rudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu province, was alive with energy on Feb 21, the fifth day of the Chinese New Year, thanks to a folk parade.

The folk parade attracted about 1,200 participants, grouped into segments such as folk costume catwalks, acrobatic dramas, and festooned vehicles.

The performance blended hanfu clothing, a type of traditional attire of the Han ethnic people, dragon dances, the God of Wealth, robots, football displays, and other colorful elements to highlight local customs and vitality.

Combining marching processions with stationary performances, the performance offered residents and visitors a rich, long-lasting feast of folk culture.
