Despite the fast approaching Spring Festival, construction of a new financial cluster area in Hai'an – a county-level city administered by Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – is still in full swing.

The project has now begun cosmetic decorations, after the major work passed its quality acceptance last year.

A key urban complex for the city, it is composed of five high-rise residential buildings, four commercial annexes and two commercial office buildings, with a covered area of nearly 250,000 square meters.

The Ruihai Jinling Hotel, a 5-star hotel funded by Jiangsu Ruihai Investment Holding Group Co Ltd and managed by Nanjing Jinling Holdings Ltd, signed up to settle in the financial cluster area in June last year. The design of the hotel was completed on Feb 6. After Spring Festival, the contractors will start doing cosmetic decorations and it will open its doors for business in October.

To date, in addition to the hotel, an innovation fund industrial park, the Agricultural Development Bank of China, the Postal Savings Bank of China and China Merchants Bank have confirmed they will be locating there. They will be joined by China Mobile, Xinyuan Silk and Dadi Cinema Group.

After completion, the project is widely expected to further boost the city's image.
