According to the Jiangsu Province Human Resources and Social Security Department, the Hai'an Economic and Technological Development Zone and Jiangsu Pengfei Group have been approved to found State-level post-doctoral research stations by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the National Post-Doctoral Regulatory Commission.

Forty-six such stations were newly added in Jiangsu this year, two of which are located in Hai'an, a county-level city of Nantong.

The general work station of the Hai'an Economic and Technological Development Zone administrative committee is the first general station to settle in Nantong's prefectures. Dozens of enterprises in the zone were approved to establish State-level post-doctoral scientific research sub-stations.

The enterprises obtaining the approval cover emerging industries such as intelligent equipment and robotics, new materials, new energy and modern textiles.

Pengfei Group is a leading enterprise in the cement industry and a national intellectual property demonstration enterprise. In 2016, it was awarded the title of National Enterprise Technology Center. The approval to establish a post-doctoral research station is an affirmation of its research platform and achievements.

By virtue of its technology center and the post-doctoral research station, Pengfei Group will promote collaborative innovation between industry, universities and research institutes, and provide a higher platform for cultivating young professionals.

At present, Lishui has a total of 17 post-doctoral scientific research stations at and above provincial level, including seven State-level stations, eight sub-stations and two provincial innovation practice bases.
