The first group of Green Plants in Jiangsu province was announced recently. It covers 98 enterprises two of which are based in Hai'an, a county-level city of Nantong – Hai'an Tianying Green Energy Co Ltd and Nantong Double Great Textile Co Ltd.

"Green Plant" refers to a factory that has realized intensive land use, harmless raw materials, clean production, waste recycling, and low-carbon energy consumption. The assessment criteria mainly focus on infrastructure, management systems, energy and resources input, products and environmental emission.

The main businesses of Hai'an Tianying Green Energy cover domestic waste incineration power generation, treatment of sludge, kitchen waste, hazardous waste, construction waste and sewage, landfill gas development and utilization, investment and operation of waste classification collection and transportation systems.

Nantong Double Great Textile specializes in the production of high-quality yarns, and covers spinning, thread-making and trading.
