The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently announced a list of the national demonstration enterprises for technology innovation in 2020. Jiangsu Lianfa Textile Co Ltd was one of three enterprises from Jiangsu province on the list, and the only one from Nantong.

Based in Hai'an, Lianfa Textile is a listed company integrating research and development (R&D), design and product manufacturing. As a global manufacturer of high-end yarn-dyed fabrics and top brand shirts, it has a complete industrial chain covering cotton planting, spinning, weaving, printing and dyeing, production and sales of garments.

It has maintained the top three positions in the domestic yarn-dyed industry and the first spot in terms of comprehensive strength in Jiangsu for 20 years.

In recent years, Lianfa Textile has attached much importance to technological innovation. With annual R&D investment accounting for over 3 percent of sales revenue, the company develops more than 200 kinds of new fabrics each year.

During the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20), the company has undertaken over 30 scientific research projects at different levels, including one national key project, four provincial ones and one international cooperation plan.
