Nantong has recently announced that 15 of its A-level scenic areas will open free of charge to workers from outside the city during the Spring Festival holiday, which will start on Feb 11 and ends on Feb 17.

Those eligible can receive free access to the following scenic areas with their ID cards, residence permits, and a green QR code that shows that they have not traveled outside of Jiangsu province within the 14 days prior.

The offer is part of efforts to reduce the passenger flow during the Spring Festival holiday to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Scenic areas and indoor entertainment venues will strictly implement the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control rules by the country’s top culture and tourism authority, including regular disinfection, health monitoring, as well as information registration.

Tourists must make an appointment in advance before visiting local scenic areas, with the number of visitors at each scenic area and indoor entertainment venue, such as theaters, being limited to less than 75 percent of their maximum capacity.
