According to the Nantong science and technology bureau, the high-performance special glass laboratory of Jiangsu Tiemao Glass Co Ltd, or TM Glass, a Hai'an-based company, was recently recognized as a key provincial enterprise laboratory.

With new investment of 31.3 million yuan ($4.6 million), TM Glass reconstructed the 6,400-square-meter experimental base and added fire protection and electromagnetic compatibility testing capabilities.

Its original optical performance laboratory, mechanical property laboratory, environmental performance laboratory, and electrical performance laboratory will be built into a domestic first-class high-performance special safety glass new material laboratory.

The lab is committed to mastering the key technologies of high-performance special glass and breaking the monopoly of foreign technology and products and to providing technical support for the domestic aircraft and high-speed trains that have a need for high-performance safety glass technology and products.
