The movie theater at Tangzha Working People's Cultural Palace in Gangzha district, Nantong is expected to be upgraded, according to a cooperation agreement signed on April 17 by the cultural palace and a local company focusing on the protection and development of Tangzha ancient town.

Over the past few years, the company has been endeavoring to build the ancient town into a demonstration area for historical and cultural heritage protection, a showcase for modern industrial civilization, and a culture-oriented tourist site.

The cooperation agreement is expected to take better advantage of available resources at the cultural palace, facilitate local nighttime economy and stimulate consumption after the outbreak of novel coronavirus subsides in the country.

The upgrade of the movie theater at Tangzha Working People's Cultural Palace is meant to help develop the theater economy, present influential performances and create a unique local cultural brand. 

The upgrades will be completed by the end of this year, after which outstanding domestic and international immersive dramas and musical dramas will be shown.
