Workers at Nantong Daxing Flour Co, based in Gangzha district, Nantong, Jiangsu province, have been busy producing flour in order to meet market demand.

During the fight against the virus, the company has been supplying food to a hospital for novel coronavirus pneumonia patients.

Managers of the company are working on the frontlines, as some workers can't return to work as scheduled due to travel restrictions related to the outbreak of the virus.

According to records, the company was initially established in 1901 by Zhang Jian, an educator and businessman in modern China. The two warehouses and over 10 workshops established during the early stages of the company's founding are still in use. The company's eight silos can store more than 10,000 metric tons of raw materials.

It now has two modernized production lines equipped with world-class facilities and making use of advanced production processes. The production lines are fully controlled by computers and the daily output is as high as 700 tons.

The company is officially recognized as an emergency food processor in Jiangsu province and one of the top 10 flour processors in the province. It was also honored as a "century-old flour company" by the China National Association of the Grain Sector.

Its flour is sold to more than 20 provinces throughout China, including Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Fujian, and more. It is also a supplier of several large and medium-sized Chinese food processing enterprises.
