Hai'an publicizes epidemic prevention through loudspeakers
To better promote awareness of epidemic prevention and control, Hai'an in Nantong, Jiangsu province, has adapted announcements to make them easier to remember and is publicizing them through mobile loudspeakers across the county-level city.
The Bureau of Natural Resources in Hai'an has dispatched 70 publicity vehicles and is using 700 garbage trucks to spread information on epidemic prevention and control through loudspeakers.
Officials regularly promote effective measures that can prevent the virus epidemic with the help of modern technology, in order to strengthen people's ability to protect themselves from infection.
"Residents are asked to stay at home and not to gather together," said Liu Peiyong, an official in Nanyang village in Hai'an. "Announcements are broadcast every day to inform villagers who seldom surf the internet or use smartphones for information."
"My family invites relatives and friends to have dinners together every year, but during the fight against coronavirus, we all decided not to have such gatherings," said a local villager.
